Victoria Falls World Heritage National Monument

Waterfall is the natural water flow from the high area to lower area and build up the beautiful scenery. There are hundred thousands of waterfall around the world created by nature and give a lot of advantages for humankind. Any country in the world with beautiful waterfalls, it can attract more tourists to visit ant take million dollars income each year.

One of the most famous waterfalls in the world is Victoria Falls in Southern Africa. It is the grand waterfall and look so beautiful with natural view and the styles of waterfalls are so amazing. In some parts of the falls, there have a bridge leading from one side of the valley to another that help the visitors enjoy watching great view at both sides of the deep valley of the falls. Moreover, tourists can enjoy bathing at the low part of the falls with weak flow of stream leading to the deep part of the falls which make bathers feel frightening mix with exciting.

Victoria Falls, or Mosi-oa-Tunya (Tokaleya Tonga: the Smoke that Thunders), is a waterfall in southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe.

David Livingstone, the Scottish missionary and explorer, is believed to have been the first European to view Victoria Falls on 16 November 1855 from what is now known as Livingstone Island, one of two land masses in the middle of the river, immediately upstream from the falls on the Zambian side. Livingstone named his discovery in honour of Queen Victoria, but the indigenous name, Mosi-oa-Tunya—”the smoke that thunders”—continues in common usage as well. The nearby national park in Zambia, for example, is named Mosi-oa-Tunyawhereas the national park and town on the Zimbabwean shore are both named Victoria Falls.The World Heritage List officially recognizes both names.More info visit: Image source:
